Postnatal Doula Support.
Gentle, nurturing support to help you rest, recover and find your feet as you settle into family life.
The weeks after birth are about so much more than recovering from labour or learning to care for a newborn. They mark the beginning of one of life's most profound transitions: the transition into motherhood.
The arrival of a baby marks the beginning of a profound new chapter. Alongside caring for your newborn, you're also navigating your own transition into motherhood, a process known as matrescence.
This season isn't something to simply get through. It's a time of healing, adjustment, discovery and becoming. My role is to support you through that transition with practical care, compassionate guidance and the reassurance that you don't have to navigate it alone.
Whether this is your first baby or you're welcoming another child into your family, this season deserves to be met with care, compassion and support.

The early weeks after birth ask a great deal of your body and mind. Together we'll create opportunities for you to rest, recover and be cared for, recognising that looking after you is an important part of looking after your baby.
Your support might include:
Creating opportunities for uninterrupted rest while I care for your baby
Preparing a comfortable space for feeding or relaxing
Gentle encouragement to slow down and recover at your own pace
Supporting your physical and emotional wellbeing in the early weeks
A listening ear and reassurance when things feel overwhelming
-
Small acts of care can make a huge difference. From preparing nourishing meals to helping with everyday tasks, my role is to lighten the mental load so you can focus on settling into life with your baby.
Your support might include:
Preparing simple, nourishing meals and snacks
Keeping you topped up with tea, water and snacks during feeds
Light household tasks such as laundry, tidying and washing up
Grocery shopping or running small local errands
Helping create a calm, welcoming home environment
-
There is no handbook for becoming a parent. Whether you're navigating feeding, processing your birth experience or simply finding your confidence, I'm here to support you without judgement or expectation.
We might spend time:
Talking through your birth story
Exploring the emotional transition into parenthood
Supporting feeding in a way that feels right for your family
Building confidence in caring for your baby
Signposting to local professionals if additional support would be helpful

Item deAs your family finds its own rhythm, my support adapts to what you need most. Whether that's caring for an older sibling, supporting your partner or simply making space for everyone to breathe, we'll work together to create the support that feels right for you.
This might include:
Supporting partners as they adjust to their new role
Helping older siblings feel included
Talking through family routines and rhythms
Building confidence before my support comes to an end
Celebrating the progress you've already made
There is no single "right" way to move through early parenthood. My hope is that by the time our work together comes to an end, you'll feel rested, reassured and more confident in your own instincts as you continue this new chapter as a family.
